Early trailer for Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
Battlestar Simpsons
Dharma Initiative T-shirt - if you don't get it, don't ask ;0)
Steven Brust: Dzur out in hardback, August 8th
Superman Returns Trailer - Rather like watching an episode of New Adventures... except less good. Kevin Spacey appears to be enjoying himself though.
Sign of the day as seen in Chinatown: "Sex Shop - Closing Down Sale"
Made even more amusing by the site of a ~50 year old woman stood outside taking a photo with her phone while ~husband looked on in an embarassed fashion.

Date: 2006-05-15 11:19 pm (UTC)As for "Superman Returns", I'm not sure. I saw a picture of the new guy (in costume) doing one of those milk moustache adverts recently, and my basic reaction was "Wow, he looks really stupid in that outfit." Then I watched the trailer, and I thought "Hey, they've used the classic music - that's pretty cool. And they've got lots of the classic elements in there, so that's all good too." On the other hand, if the only good things about it are the way it resembles the first two Christopher Reeves films, then maybe I'm better off just re-watching them (especially since they're in my "unwatched DVD" pile). The only thing that struck me as really interesting is the idea that he's come back after a long absence, but I'm guessing that this is just some contrived dialogue for the trailer that corresponds to a brief "3 months later" transition in the film...

I think my biggest disappointment was how bland Lois appeared to be.
